new sollotion for ig followers
- Balance promotional, educational, and entertainment/ inspiration posts. (This is called the 1/3 rule to posting.)
- Take advantage of the free tools out there to schedule & design your posts. (Buffer, Later, etc.)
- Establish your niche. This is crucial because there’s so many users out there and you want to stand out. (For example, imagine you like “cooking”; that’s really broad. Are you vegan? cooking desserts? cooking on a budget?? This is what defining your niche looks like.)
- Then use those keywords. Once you’ve established your niche, then stick to it and use relevant industry keywords in your bio, your posts, hashtags (but not too many, it looks desperate.) This will bring coherency to your posting which attracts followers and…brands!
- Collaborate with relevant brands! Doing reviews is a great way. It’s all about creating mutual value.
- Transparency. If you are going to be working with brands, always prioritize transparent relationships for your sake and theirs.
- Vary your content types and don’t neglect video!
- Run giveaways, contests, or other creative engagement boosters.
- Quality over quantity when it comes to posting.
- Engage your community: Always respond to comments, shares, and inquiries.
- Passion. You cannot force influence, it builds around people that are providing something valuable or entertaining. You’re much more likely to succeed in this area if you’re invested in what you’re doing. It’s called authenticity. Brands take note of this, as well.
What NOT to do? Buy followers or fake engagement. This drives away real followers and guarantees no genuine engagement on your posts. (More on that here.)
